The Future Leaders Fund is a permanent supply of money set aside to help subsidise training for women in the communications industry.
Every year, Wacl looks for three women who deserve the funding. However, because of the high skill level of applicants this year, the Future Leaders Fund decided to award all six candidates.
The eventual winners were: Alexandria Oliver, from Walker Media; Jessica Subra, from Vizeum; Leigh Odimah, a full-time mother; Zoe Winterson, from Pearl & Dean; Emma Morgan, from ITV, and Frances Ralston-Good, from PHD Media.
Lyndy Payne, the chair of the judges, said: "The interviewees were, without exception, ambitious, charming and forward-thinking."
Wacl also awarded the first Patricia Mann Award for Excellence (named after the former JWT group vice-president) to Ralston-Good.
Judith Salinson, a past president of Wacl, said: "This is an honorary title, designed to highlight and encourage excellence and to remind us of the importance of the values that Patricia embodied.
"We have awarded this title to Ralston-Good because she performed the best on the day. We believe that we are paying Frances the ultimate compliment."
