For iVillage, the digital video content provider will add more than 1,000 segments to the site and original content for several sections of the portal. IVillage receives more than 3.5 million visitors per month, and 35 million monthly page views, according to measurement company ABC Electronic.
Simply Media chief executive Henry Scott said the iVillage link-up would be attractive to advertisers, as they would be able to see the benefits of full video ads.
Simply will produce video content on astrology with astrologist Shelley von Strunckel, health and beauty tips will come from BeautyZone TV, entertainment and celebrity gossip from its Avenue 11 daily entertainment news service, and parenting content from The Baby Channel.
Beauty content from BeautyZone TV will also be carried on the Boots website, www.boots.com.
It will include videos on make-up, hair and nail tips from well-known stylists, as well as information on skincare and health.
Simply Media produces, aggregates and distributes video content across multiple platforms.
It currently distributes programming over satellite, cable and broadband internet.
Other clients include Emap, Yahoo!, Pokerzone, Time Life and DD Home Entertainment.
The company also produces and owns a number of media properties, including The Baby Channel, a joint venture with RDF Media.
