The news follows the opening of Showsec's new office, which is based inside the legendary Scottish venue.
"In recent years we have experienced increased demand from the Scottish market to secure events," said manager of Showsec Scotland Bryan Lewis. "This is a great opportunity to add a fresh face to the Scottish marketplace."
The Playhouse has long enjoyed a reputation for staging high-profile events, most recently welcoming artists such as Neil Young, Chris Rock and the only UK dates on last years Tom Waits Glitter and Doom tour.
