Alan Wallace, who has worked with Showsec for 15 years, has been made regional manager in the north and colleague Steve Reynolds, formerly a project manager, takes the reins in the south.

"This restructure will result in a fresh focus and the delivery of enhanced local service and products across all areas of the UK," said Showsec managing director Mark Harding.

"The company has been able to implement these changes because of the ongoing emphasis placed on the success of training and educational development; this creates defined career paths within the security and crowd management industry."

In conjunction with the two aforementioned promotions, a number of senior operations executives have been promoted to area managers. These new managers include Tracey McCarthy on the south coast, Robbie Jarvis in Liverpool, Ieuan Fury in Wales and the south west, Mark Wilcox in Manchester, and Tony Hume in Newcastle.
