The Central Office of Information has revamped the police recruitment site to tie in with a TV campaign to increase the number of officers.

Mirroring the TV ads, the web site asks users how they'd cope in three situations supposedly typical of normal police work.

Compared to the TV ads, there's more scope on the web site to talk about the work of the police. But while an overview of the ins and outs of being a copper doesn't sound inspiring, it's been written in language that makes it interesting. On top of this there's an interactive element where users can test their skills of observation.

The site looks good and the download times are okay. Getting round the different sections is also a doddle.
