Tanya Cohen, show director for Square Meal’s Venues and Events show, has quit the restaurant directory’s organiser arm just weeks after the exhibition’s second outing.
Cohen launched the two-day event for creative party planners at Old Billingsgate in 2005. She has now teamed up again with her former business partner Georgina Clapton-Hall and is believed to be researching exhibition launch ideas. The Venues and Events team has confirmed there is no plan to replace Cohen at present.
Initial figures indicate that Venues and Events, which ran from 20-21 September, attracted more than 4,000 visitors compared with 2,754 people at the debut event.
