ShortList boosts senior team ahead of ShortList Mode launch

Shortlist Media Ltd has promoted Jamie Klingler to the newly created role of publishing manager, as it gears up for the launch of its bi-annual fashion magazine, ShortList Mode.

Klingler has worked as photography director on ShortList and as editorial finance manager across both ShortList and Stylist, since she joined in 2007.

In her new role, Klingler will assist the senior management team and will be responsible for maximising the profitability and effectiveness of the brands and platforms within its portfolio.

She will report to ShortList managing director Karl Marsden. Marsden’s own role will continue to evolve in terms of running the operations side of the business as a whole, with a particular focus on growing the websites through 2011.

Marsden said: "Here at ShortList Media we have had another year of rapid growth, and, as the business expands, we are investing in bolstering the general management resource at the centre of our company."

Mike Soutar, chief executive of ShortList Media, said: "Jamie’s appointment is a real testament to how far the business has come in just over three years.

"ShortList is still in steep growth and the successful launch of Stylist has transformed the scale and range of the possibilities open to us. Jamie’s appointment will liberate Karl and other directors to focus on new, high-value growth opportunities."

ShortList Mode, , will target ShortList’s ABC1 male audience and focus on male fashion and grooming.

Initially, 250,000 copies will be distributed at targeted commuting spots in shopping-centric cities such as London and Manchester.
