A 1970s French romantic crooner fronts Sheba's latest ad in the "Resistance is futile" campaign.
The character, Vincent Le Chat, is inspired by a combination of Engelbert Humperdinck and Serge Gainsbourg. His piercing gaze and seductive love song, performed from a suitably kitsch ‘70s TV stage, serve as a visual metaphor for the beguiling eyes of a hungry cat. Lines from his tune, Nourris-Moi Bebe (Feed Me Now), include "I’ll be your little kitten if you place me down some chicken" and "Surrender to your fate. It’s time to get my plate." The work was created by Clark Edwards and Andre Hull, and directed by The Perlorian Brothers through MJZ.
