The Government ads promote a £1 billion package offering assistance to householders to make their homes more energy efficient.
The campaign, by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, focuses on the efforts of a dad to get his family to cut down on their bills and CO2 emissions.
Meadows said: "Apart from the fact that I really liked this campaign because it's funny and well written, I was also interested in making some films that might make a difference to the way people behave.
"If these films can make a few more people aware of the problem and actually do something, then it's got to be a worthwhile project."
Homes with one or more members over the age of 70 and eligible low income households qualify for free energy efficiency improvements.
Meadows is the film director behind the award-winning 'This is England' and has recently directed an ad for Asda's Back to School range of clothing.
