Shake-up at Experian as Painter takes global role

LONDON - Experian has appointed Jim Hodgkins, MD of Experian's interactive division, as managing director of its marketing services division in the UK and Ireland, taking over from Duncan Painter, who is promoted to executive vice president for global product development and delivery.

At the same time, Jonathan Hulford-Funnell has been made managing director of Experian marketing services EMEA region. He was previously managing director of Experian QAS, the company's contact data management business, and will continue to oversee Experian QAS globally.

Hodgkins, a 20-year Experian veteran, will be responsible for the company's portfolio of marketing businesses, which include business strategies and integrated marketing, Experian CheetahMail, Hitwise and Experian QAS.

To complete the UK marketing services division's management team, Stuart Johnston has been promoted to UK managing director at Experian QAS, taking over from Hulford-Funnell, while Tony Mooney moves to managing director of Experian's integrated marketing division.

Hodgkins helped launch the company's UK marketing data business in the 1990s and has more recently been directing its interactive division.

He will report to Charlotte Hogg, managing director of Experian UK and Ireland.

Hogg said: "Supported by a highly experienced management team, Jim and Jonathan will ensure that our marketing services division drives even greater innovation for our brand name clients' marketing programmes.   

"Combined with our data and analytics capabilities, the team's vision and strategy will provide our clients with the science to execute high ROI marketing campaigns, across all channels."
