A Harvey Nichols spokeswoman said Halliwell had been "instrumental in shaping the business for the future" through achievements such as launching Rewards by Harvey Nichols, the first loyalty app in the luxury sector, and delivering award-winning ads.

Halliwell joined Harvey Nichols in April 2014. Before that, she spent 23 years at O2 and its predecessor BT Cellnet in a series of roles including head of brand.

"Shoplifters" for Rewards by Harvey Nichols won the Film Grand Prix at last year’s Cannes.
