Deloitte, the administrator for Setanta's Great Britain business, appointed Canis, which has helped launch and manage dozens of pay-TV channels including Hallmark and Chellomedia.
The positions up for sale include those formerly occupied by channels such as Setanta 1, Setanta Sports News, Setanta Golf, Racing World, Celtic TV and Rangers TV.
There are also a number of unallocated digital satellite EPG slots available. The channel numbers that coincide with the assets are: 418, 429, 430, 431, 432, 433, 435, 436, 437 and 438.
Over the past 10 years, a market has developed around the provision of satellite TV channel positions.
In 2007, BSkyB said it would stop adding new channels to its EPG due to constraints on many Sky boxes.
Consequently, those looking to launch new channels must buy EPG slots from BSkyB or channel operators via firms such as Canis Media.
Ed Hall, chief executive of Canis Media, said: "There are numerous positions available, but the clock is ticking. "Sports broadcasters should obviously be looking very closely at the EPG to see how a channel move could help them.
"Other broadcasters should look carefully too, as these positions can potentially be moved to other genres, subject to agreement with BSkyB."
