Setanta Sports launches £9.99 a month premier league service

LONDON - Setanta Sports, the pay-TV sports broadcaster, has confirmed the initial 19 fixtures of its 46 live Barclays Premier League games for the 2007/8 season.

The service will cost £9.99 a month and is available to all satellite customers, with or without a Sky contact and on all Freeview boxes and digital TVs.

The broadcaster paid £392m last year for exclusive rights to screen the 46 Barclays Premier League games for the next three years. The line up kicks off on August 11 with the Aston Villa v Liverpool game.

Angus Scott has been secured as the lead presenter alongside former England football players Les Ferdinand, pictured, and Steve McManaman, who will act as analysts.

Earlier this month The Telegraph Media Group signed up Setanta Sports as a commercial partner for its Telegraph Fantasy Football 2007/8 competition. BLM Media brokered on behalf of the broadcaster.
