The Security Industry Authority, which becomes a non-departmental public body next April, held a pitch through COI Communications involving DP&A, Partners Andrews Aldridge and Publicis Dialog. Kitcatt Nohr was this week named one of the runners-up in Marketing's below-the-line Agency of the Year Awards.
The SIA is responsible for licensing individuals and approving companies working in the burgeoning private security sector. The marketing campaign will target both individuals and companies employing staff and is designed to raise awareness of the body and its regulation. Around 300,000 people work privately in the security industry in the UK.
Activity is likely to focus on DM to communicate the SIA's message in an engaging and informative way. Kitcatt Nohr's first work will break early in 2003.
The SIA will cover a range of professions, including door supervision, manned guarding, private investigations and security consultancy.
