
Secret Cinema announced that it would be hosting the simultaneous screenings to protest against censorship, which is believed to be in light of Sony cancelling screenings of satirical film The Interview, starring James Franco and Seth Rogen, with the storyline featuring a plot to kill North Korea's leader.
The events will include music, poetry and secret happenings, according to Secret Cinema, adding "the film - for the moment is secret". Guests are also required to wear a dark suit and bring a small gift for a stranger as part of the experience.
The UK event is being hosted in a currently secret location in east London. Secret Cinema is also encouraging those who don't attend to host their own screenings. The brand has previously held its immersive film events in Troxy.
