The SearchWorks in double turnover bid

Jim Brigden, the newly appointed chief executive of The Search Works, has set his sights on doubling the search marketing agency's turnover to £100m in the next year.

Turnover exceeded £50m in 2006, up from £20.7m the previous year. Brigden aims to repeat the feat, but admitted it would be challenging.

Brigden was last week promoted from managing director to chief executive, as part of a reshuffle at the firm. The move also saw Stephanie Carr promoted from deputy managing director to take Brigden's old role.

Nick Hynes, chief executive of The IMW Group that houses The Search Works and The Technology Works, has become chairman of both firms.
