Eighties electro-pop icon Gary Numan reprises his 1979 hit "Cars" in this latest work for The Scottish Government by Newhaven creative agency.
A car appears with a personalised "Gaz" registration plate and seconds later Gary Numan himself appears in the drivers seat as the headlights go on and Numan begins singing "Cars".
An animated floating earth globe floats down next to Numan and, in a Scottish accent, explains that people shouldn't be using their cars to go short distances.
The camera then pans out to reveal Numan's car is still parked in the garage aside his mansion home.
The voiceover continues that 1 in 3 journeys are less than 2 miles and urges people to avoid using their car when they can.
