Martin Clarke, the editor of the Scottish Daily Mail, has been appointed editor of the Scotsman.
Clarke, who replaces James Seaton, was appointed by Andrew Neil, the editor-in-chief of the Scottish Daily Mail and its sister title, Scotland on Sunday.
