Schweppes has recruited actress Penelope Cruz for a new TV campaign. The spot was created by Fred & Farid Paris, and is a classic example of misdirection. Cruz is in a club and appears to lustily approach a gold-clad woman at the bar, only to barge past the shiny blonde and grab a bottle of Schweppes. Cruz then turns to the camera and says "what did you expect?" The work, which aired in France on 6 April, was written by Julien-Pierre Mallet, art directed by Etienne Renaux and directed by Kathryn Bigelow through RSA.
