Schools ministry hands brief to Naked

LONDON - The Department for Children, Schools and Families has appointed Naked to handle communications planning for a new campaign promoting science and maths qualifications to students.

Naked, the strategic communications consultancy bought by Australian marketing group Photon last week, won the brief after a competitive pitch managed by the Central Office of Information (COI).

The DCSF has also appointed Lowe to handle advertising, Glue for digital communications and Fishburn Hedges for PR.

The department is looking to increase the number of students aged over 16 studying science technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects, specifically physics, chemistry and maths A-levels.

The three-year multimedia campaign, across TV, cinema, radio and digital, kicks off in March. It will target students of secondary school age, their parents, and the teaching workforce.
