Scaife takes up marketing role for Post Office insurance

LONDON - Neil Scaife has been appointed interim marketing director for the Bank of Ireland and Post Office's insurance joint venture.

Scaife was most recently head of marketing communications at More Th>n. He departed in April after Mike Holliday-Williams was hired as marketing director; Scaife was replaced by former Onetel colleague Pete Markey.

While at More Th>n, Scaife oversaw a review of its creative and direct marketing businesses, which resulted in the insurer axing its Lucky the Dog brand icon. He appointed Fallon to its £21m ad account and consolidated its direct business into Stephens Francis Whitson.

Bank of Ireland and the Post Office agreed to sell financial services products through the latter's branches in 2004. The insurance brand's ads feature a family of ants, created by Publicis.
