Barclays is a tough marketing gig; Bennison is a tough marketer. As the bank tries to transform its relationship with customers in the wake of the Libor scandal. Bennison has spearheaded campaigns to demonstrate the bank’s vision of "helping people achieve their ambitions – in the right way".

She launched the "Your bank" campaign, encouraging people to suggest ways in which Barclays can improve its services, and boosted the brand’s social-media presence. She was appointed vice-chair of ISBA in 2013, is treasurer of Front Foot for the AA and sits on the Client Council of the IPA.
