Sandoz and Griffith to launch Work Club this summer

Andy Sandoz and Patrick Griffith, Agency Republic's former executive creative director and planning director respectively, have named their new digital start-up agency Work Club, and plan to open its doors this summer.

The duo will be joined by Michelle Stanhope, the former head of digital production at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, who left the agency in April.

However, Sandoz denied that Martin Brooks, the former chief executive of Zulu, was involved in the new venture.

The agency's aim is to build a culture that respects the balance of work and life outside the office. Ideas being considered include working hours of 10am until 4pm and a six-week holiday package for staff.

Sandoz said: "We are looking to build an environment which can be educational, but also respects that people have lives outside of work."

The agency will initially focus on digital, but Sandoz said that his long-term outlook was to create ideas that "sat comfortably inside and outside of the digital space".

The agency is currently in talks with prospects, but no formal client arrangements have been confirmed.
