Samsung media chief to headline DOOH Summit programme

LONDON - Gerry D'Angelo, European media director of Samsung's in-house advertising agency Cheil Worldwide, will be the keynote speaker at next Tuesday's digital out-of-home summit at Olympia in London.

D'Angelo has been with Cheil Worldwide, which is 20% owned by Samsung and is effectively the 16th-largest ad agency in the world, for two years. He will explain the role DOOH played in the launch of Samsung's Omnia i900 touch-screen smart phone.

The DOOH Media Summit, in association with Media Week, takes place on 7 April as part of Screen Media Expo Europe 2009.

It is a one-day event that will explore the best ways of attracting consumers and creating DOOH campaigns.

Other headline speakers include Titan marketing director Steve Cox, IPM international managing director Chris Marjoram, CBS Outdoor Alive sales director Nicky Cheshire, Ogilvy Advertising's director of innovative solutions Nicole Yershon and Grand Visual managing director Neil Morris. The event will be chaired by Media Week editor Steve Barrett.
