The electronics company will release two ads as part of the campaign. The first, "all wrapped up early", will air tomorrow during ITV’s I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here. The second, "Christmas round ours", will air on TV on 24 November.
The first ad showcases only Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 smartphone, while the second demonstrates the whole range of Samsung products. But both show the goods being used over Christmas by families and friends – for instance, two parents film their child's school play with a Samsung phone.
Cheil UK was the agency behind the campaign. The work was created by Jim Eyre and Dave Newbold, and directed by Josh and Xander through Radical Media. Starcom Mediavest Group handled the media.
Logan Wilmont, the executive creative director at Cheil UK, said: "Samsung’s first Christmas campaign was an exciting opportunity. It allowed us to show how Samsung’s technologies are part of the very fabric of Christmas in Britain today.
"Whether it’s TVs or tablets, smartphones or smart watches, they are as much as part of the British Christmas as mince pies and Morecombe and Wise."
