Amin, who has been at the helm of PepsiCo UK & Ireland for four years, has focused on improving the health credentials across a portfolio which includes Walkers Crisps, Tropicana and Quaker. He was drafted in following the departure of Martin Glenn who left to head up Birds Eye.
In his new role, which will be based in New York, he will drive an integrated sales and marketing strategy with global customers.
Amin will report to PepsiCo chief executive Indra Nooyi on global brands and marketing responsibilities, and to John Compton, chief executive of PepsiCo Americas Foods, on PepsiCo customer team accountabilities.
Amin, a former Procter & Gamble executive, will be replaced by Richard Evans, the general manager of Walkers Snack Foods. Evans joined PepsiCo in 1990 and has worked across a range of products, markets and operating models.
