
She joins TMW from Seven Squared Publishing, where she was responsible for the Sainsbury's Fresh Ideas quarterly magazine. While at Publicis Blueprint, Briggs edited the Asda customer magazine.
At publishingtmw Briggs will work across all the agency's accounts but will particularly focus on Flora, Berry Bros & Rudd and Nissan, working on online and offline content, as well as developing new business opportunities.
TMW's growing publishing business produces customer magazines for brands including T-Mobile, Energy Savings Trust and RAF as part of relationship marketing programmes.
Briggs' contract publishing career includes launching a mother and baby magazine on behalf of Sainsbury's, reaching over 250,000 new mothers, while at Seven Squared Publishing. The magazine was shortlisted for Launch Magazine of the Year at the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Awards.
She was Editor-in-chief at Archant overseeing their London lifestyle publications, and has also worked at the BBC on programmes such as Home Front and Chelsea Flower Show.
"I'm passionate about magazines and intend to grow an already successful publishing arm to make it one of the biggest players in customer-publishing," Briggs said. "The publishing industry has changed dramatically with the digital revolution, so it's exciting to be part of a company that is committed to delivering high quality content both online and offline."
TMW is thought to be the only DM agency with a separate publishing division. Publishingtmw is a member of both the Periodical Publishers Association (PPA) and Association of Publishing Agencies (APA).
