The agency fended off competition from Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy, Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest, and the incumbent Farm, to win the account.
It will now begin work on a brand campaign for Sacla that will break early next year.
Sacla aims to offer "contemporary presentations" of authentic family recipes with its range of Italian foods, such as Classic Pesto, Wild Mushroom Antipasti and Sun Dried Tomato & Garlic Stir Through. Sacla has grown 15% in the last year, approaching £30m of UK sales.
Clare Blampied, Sacla UK managing director, said: "Chick Smith Trott have been so enthusiastic and shown a real understanding of our business, we share the same spirit."
She said: "We've been so busy this year with new products, ranges, an Italian food lovers website and PR campaigns to excite people about pesto, antipasti and regional Italian food. We've got a real Italian heritage and provenance and with some ground breaking advertising the months ahead will be fantastic."
