At the event at the Mayfair Hotel in London, Saatchi & Saatchi claimed the prize for RFI of the Year, SapientNitro won Best Agency Website, Wieden & Kennedy collected Best Agency Film and Iris picked up Best Agency Credentials.

The awards were judged by 23 senior marketers and company leaders from brands including Warner Brothers, Lloyds Banking Group, DFS, Jaguar, SSE, Samsung and Microsoft.

Wieden & Kennedy fended off competition from the runners up Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and DigitasLBi to claim Best Agency Film.

Saatchi & Saatchi beat the runners up Proximity, Wieden & Kennedy and Grey London to the best RFI prize. The winning entry was the Publicis Groupe agency's RFI for the ongoing BBC creative pitch.

Krow and Haygarth were runners up to SapientNitro in the best website category.

Antidote and VCCP were pipped at the post by Iris to the Best Agency Credentials gong.

Suki Thompson, the chief executive and founder of Oystercatchers, said: "The RFIs were some of the best we have ever got. We’ve seen the most dramatic increase in the categories of film and website. They have got much better than last year.

"When you look at marketing materials [the question we ask is] 'how much effort have they made?' Marketers ask: 'can we find an agency that really feels like they want to work with us?' It’s still really critical."

The awards are part of the Oystercatchers Club series of events, which bring together agency managing directors and chief executives with senior marketers to discuss industry trends and issues.
