He will report to Saatchi & Saatchi London’s chief creative officer, Kate Stanners, who has led the account creatively since the agency won the business in 2013.

Todd worked on HSBC at J Walter Thompson London and created "lemonade".

At Bartle Bogle Hegarty, where he began his career, Todd was behind "vote Gail" for FHM, which projected an image of Gail Porter on to the Houses of Parliament.

Todd had a previous stint at Saatchi & Saatchi in 2001. He left to join JWT in 2004 and then Leo Burnett in 2013, where he was the creative director on the Co-operative Food account.

At Leo Burnett, Todd won more than 70 awards for the "second chance" campaign for Business in the Community. Elsewhere, he has a gold Film Lion for Coco de Mer and a D&AD yellow Pencil for Golden Skins.

Todd said: "I’m looking forward to reacquainting myself with the ‘Nothing is impossible’ culture at Saatchi & Saatchi and working on HSBC. I’m excited about this chance to take it on to even greater things."
