Taylor has a reputation for being cultured and well-travelled, but this has not dampened his support for his beloved Blackburn Rovers FC.

A classically trained brand marketer, prior to Samsung, Taylor spent his career at Unilever and was heavily involved in some of Lynx’s most famous ad campaigns.

He will have his work cut out in his new role overseeing Samsung’s entire product portfolio, from white goods to the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

Taylor replaces Andrew Garrihy, who parted company with Samsung after it scrapped his role as part of what it said was a change in strategic direction.
