To correct the misunderstanding that blind children have different aspirations to their sighted peers, the Royal Society for Blind Children commissioned artwork by artist and poet Robert Montgomery, in a campaign by Crispin Porter & Bogusky.
Montgomery, who is known for his light and text installations, created a custom vehicle inspired by his conversations with children living with sight loss. Topped with one of his poems, "In Our Dreams We See Forever," it includes Braille statements from visually impaired children and a four-screen video installation in which they share their dreams and aspirations. RSBC will unveil the piece at Granary Square in London on 31 January before touring it around the country.
