Roose takes Vanish brief as WCRS loses Reckitt roster place

Reckitt Benckiser, the German parent of brands such as Vanish,

Harpic and Dettol, is cutting back its UK roster to just two agencies

following a pan-European review.

The decision sees WCRS removed from the Reckitt Benckiser roster. The

agency has handled the £3 million Vanish account for four years.

Vanish is the UK's largest stain removal brand in the laundry, carpet

and upholstery categories.

The business moves to Roose & Partners, which has handled the Finish and

Calgon brands since 1995, marking the closure of the pan-European review

of the Finish brand.

Roose created the Finish advertising identity, which has been used

across Europe. The agency is working on new campaign ideas to put the

brand beyond £100 million annual sales in the UK.

McCann-Erickson will continue to work on Haze, Harpic, Immac and

Dettol.

The £27 million media account, held by BMP Solutions in Media, is

not thought to be affected by the review.
