Ronseal "Ronseal the weekend" by BJL

Ronseal and Channel 4 go head to head to win over viewers for the bank holiday weekend.

In an ad break during Gogglebox tonight, Channel 4’s logo encourages people to stay put and watch TV, while a Ronseal paint tub urges them to get on with some DIY projects. The tongue-in-cheek spot by BJL will be followed by personalised VOD ads where viewers will be addressed by name. An integrated campaign will run on Channel 4 for the next six weeks with contextual videos taking on genres such as property, comedy, sport and film.

The deal was brokered by Andy Moore, group partnership manager at Channel 4, and MediaCom Manchester.

Last year, Ronseal took over a Gogglebox ad break by showing a man painting a fence in silence.
