The pair will assume responsibility for The Times, The Sunday Times, COI Communications and Womankind accounts, as well as continuing to work on briefs across the agency's client list.
The appointment is part of a revamp of the creative department, which sees the hiring of three creative teams.
Andy Brittain, a copywriter, and Yu Kung, an art director, join from WCRS, where they worked for 11 years.
The team, which was responsible for the "It's a Mini adventure" campaign for Mini, will take up a place on the agency's board.
Also joining the agency as board directors are the creative team of Dave Godfree, an art director, and Mark Waldron, a copywriter.
The duo are former deputy creative directors of D'Arcy, and have overseen work on some of the agency's leading accounts, including Fiat, McCain and Maltesers. Their recent Social Services campaign picked up a silver at D&AD.
The Bartle Bogle Hegarty copywriter Nick Stade joins to team up with Gregg Mitchell. At BBH, Stade worked across a range of accounts, including Xbox, Audi and Lynx.
Finally, the art director and copywriting team of Andy Vasey and Dan Warner arrive from Hooper Galton.
RKCR/Y&R's executive creative director, Mark Roalfe, said: "All the teams have an undisputed pedigree and we have lots of opportunities for them to produce some great work."
