Ripley joins IGA to boost in-game ads

IGA Worldwide, the in-game advertising company, has appointed Kenneth Ripley as its executive vice-president of global advertising sales.

Ripley joins from Discovery Communications, where he was the vice-president, sales development and was responsible for building a new sales division and bringing new advertising clients.

Ripley has previously worked as the vice-president of advertiser sales for TiVo, where he launched TiVovision. He was also the vice-president, advertiser sales for Columbia TriStar Television and the national sales manager for Discovery's Emerging Network group including Discovery Home, The Science Channel and Discovery Kids Channel.

Justin Townsend, the chief executive of IGA Worldwide, said: "Ken will play a critical role in strengthening the company's footprint in the market by accelerating the inclusion of in-game marketing as part of traditional media plans."

IGA Worldwide works with advertisers such as Jeep, Orange, Ben Sherman and FHM.
