Ricola's Urban Herb Garden Project aims to alert guests to the benefit of natural herbs, and has been inspired by the brand’s own consumer research, which shows that Londoners are the most likely to grow their own food despite being the least likely to have a garden.
National Herb Day takes place on 6 May and, in celebration, Ricola will be displaying their own unique blend of herbs with an urban herb garden situated near London's Tower Bridge.
On 4 May, television presenter Charlie Dimmock will be onsite to reveal how to make the most of an urban garden, backed by the findings of Ricola’s ‘garden state’ research. She will give tips and advice on how to make the most of small spaces and how herbs can be a great introduction into gardening.
A display of 13 herbs, each incorporated into the Ricola blend, will be on show at Potter's Field Park allowing passers-by to peruse the garden display and learn more about the herbs. Visitors will be able to learn about herbs such as sage, thyme, rosemary, burnet, horehound, peppermint, mallow, marshmallow, cowslip, elderflower, lady’s mantle, yarrow and plantain.
Visitors will also be invited to sample the full Ricola sugar-free range over the course of the three-day event.
