The £3m investment programme began in January this year and includes the addition of three new exhibition halls boosting capacity from 8,000 to 10,000, a 650-seat indoor auditorium and a remodelled arrival area for the exhibition halls.
Work on a new entrance to the on-site 71 Rooms and Silk Suites Hotel will be completed in June 2010.
"Event organisers appreciate flexibility and convenience, and our new areas have been designed with these requirements in mind. This is the biggest development at the Ricoh Arena since our opening in 2005, and we are thrilled at being able to welcome more delegates from all over the world," said Ricoh Arena executive director Angus Houston.
