Richard Eyre takes on strategic adviser position with Unity

LONDON - The former ITV chief executive, Richard Eyre, has joined the media communications specialist Unity as an associate partner.

He joins Unity with immediate effect and will advise on strategic

development.

His appointment follows the departure of Derek Morris, one of the

triumvirate of founder managing partners, who left to join Publicis as

the chief strategic officer last month (±±¾©Èü³µpk10, 5 April).

Eyre is also the chairman of RDF Media, and has a non-executive role at

19 Group, the TV and music group owned by the pop svengali Simon

Fuller.

Eyre said: "Unity operates in an area that is vital for effective and

ingenious communications advice, but which has been left thinly

populated by the separation of media and creative skills into disparate

groups."

Unity's managing partner, Andy Tilley, added that he had chosen Eyre

because of his blend of business acumen and creativity.
