REVIEW: David Liddiment slams BBC's board of governors

David Liddiment, the director of channels for ITV, has slammed the

BBC's board of governors, saying that they cannot be trusted to prevent

the publicly funded broadcaster becoming too commercial. Liddiment

accused the BBC of "sliding into the commercial vortex", adding that the

industry needed a new, "genuinely accountable" way of governing the BBC.
