Yesterday, the group announced its most extensive restructuring plans for 10 years, involving a number of board level changes and a re-organisation of its business operations.
The changes will begin at the end of July, when Tom Glocer replaces Peter Job as chief executive.
Press reports yesterday suggested that about 500 redundancies would follow, but a spokesman for Reuters said that the company was not making any comment on "speculative" reports.
