Retail News: Co-op Bank first in group revamp

The Co-operative Bank is preparing to overhaul the interior of its branches as part of the Co-operative Group's overall rebrand.

The bank intends to modernise its 92 branches and change their interior layout. A Co-operative Bank spokesman confirmed the revamp was at the early planning stage, but said the aim was to place greater emphasis on face-to-face contact between staff and customers.

The group has yet to announce a schedule for the roll-out of the group-wide rebrand, the development of which was overseen by group marketing director Zoe Morgan (Marketing, 24 May).
