Retail News: Ann Summers in Christmas drive

Ann Summers is to turn its stores into themed 'toy boutiques' as part of its Christmas marketing campaign.

Stores will house three displays, each featuring a different life-sized mannequin in an opened-out box. Each doll will be surrounded by accessories revealing her character.

'Isabella' will display the store's health and beauty products such as perfume and candles, while 'Candy' will be surrounded by Ann Summers' edible range, which includes G-strings.

The displays are intended to draw on Ann Summers' customers' memories of opening presents of dolls for Christmas when they were young.

It will promote the activity through its window displays and in-store events.
