The month-long weekend Renault Megane Summer Movies promotion will begin with a screening of Stephen Spielberg's 'Catch Me If You Can', starring Leonard DiCaprio, which will show in London's Gunnersbury Park.
Other outdoor locations set to feature include Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton and Edinburgh.
Carat said the deal was struck to promote the launch of the Renault Megane's "Do it with Mediterranean Style" communication platform, which will feature on-site food stalls and refreshments at each film screening.
Renault is also sponsoring 'Rough Guide to Mediterranean Festivals', which will be given away with The Independent, and a Guardian travel podcast called 'Sounds of the City', which will comprise a Mediterranean destinations guide.
Publicis has also created an on- and offline ad campaign, which will appear in The Guardian, The Times, Metro and regional newspapers.
A microsite has also been developed and hosted by , with online ads also set to appear on and the site.
Visitors to the microsite will be able to access free tickets, enter competitions to win a Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet, VIP passes to an outdoor screenings, and a Renault goody bag containing food and drink vouchers.
