Renault launches Channel 4 Drama sponsorship idents

Renault will this week launch the second wave of its Channel 4

Drama sponsorship idents. The series of new executions, created by

Publicis, break on April 11 during Channel 4's drama series Teachers.

One of the five ten-second executions shows a spinning alloy wheel,

which is then revealed to be the turntable of a record player. The

sponsorship programme, part of Renault's 'Createur d'automobiles'

campaign, broke last October and will run throughout 2001. Renault is

trying to raise the image and profile of its marque through the use of

different activities such as the Channel 4 sponsorship. Previously it

has sponsored programmes including West Wing, The Sopranos and North

Square.
