Reebok signs Premier League duo for TV ads

Reebok has signed up maverick Premiership stars Jay-Jay Okocha of Bolton Wanderers and Nicolas Anelka of Manchester City to front a major campaign this summer.

The pair will appear in a TV ad which will focus on the summer's big events: the Olympic Games and Euro 2004.

However, Nigerian Okocha will not be taking part in the latter tournament and Anelka's chances are looking slim, after he failed to be picked by France to play in last night's (Wednesday) friendly against Belgium.

The 'Wear Reebok. Outperform' work will break in April. It is the second wave of a campaign created by US agency Arnell Group that has included TV ads featuring tennis star Andy Roddick and footballer Ryan Giggs.

An outdoor campaign will launch in the UK in May. Reebok will also use Anelka and Okocha to promote its RBK sub-brand in Europe.
