LONDON - Adidas-owned sports brand Reebok has hired DDB Worldwide as its lead creative agency following a pitch.

The agency will now handle brand advertising and marketing communications as the brand seeks to establish the brand in the women's fitness market.

Reebok aims to get back to its heritage through promoting its Reebok Global Instructors Team who aim to ‘take the boredom out of working out'.

The repositioning followed research, handled by GFK/Roper Worldwide on behalf of Reebok, discovered that nearly half of the 15,000 women surveyed said they knew keeping fit was important, but only 25% participated in regular fitness sessions.

Work will also include Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, who Marketing exclusively revealed as a brand ambassador for Reebok last year.
