Red Bee Media scoops seven Promax awards

LONDON – Red Bee Media scooped seven awards at this year's Promax/BDA EMEA Awards, held in Vienna, more than any other organisation, including Gold for the BBC Two 'Pedigree Comedy' campaign.

At the awards, which celebrate the best in broadcast promotion, marketing and design, Red Bee, formerly BBC Broadcast, also won Gold for Best News & Current Affairs Promo ('Russian Godfathers' and 'Panorama - Teenage Cannabis') and Best Website/Interactive Promotion (Audio Description 2).

It won Silver for Best News & Current Affairs Promo ('Panorama - Love Hurts'), Best on-Air Programme ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 (Comedy Doubles) and Best Design in Promotion (UKTV's 'V is for Victory'). Red Bee also earned a BDA Gold for Best on-Air Ident - Out-of-House (BBC Four 'Library').

BSkyB took home six Promax Awards, including Golds for Best Sports Promo (Lion's Tour of New Zealand) and Best Factual or Factual Entertainment Promo (Artsworld Icons).

MTV International Creative UK was also a big winner with four Gold awards for Best Set Design (MTV Europe Music Awards 2005 Lisbon) and Best Use of Typography (All Eyes on Tony Blair Tune in Promo).
