LONDON (Brand Republic) - Fashion label French Connection UK has reported a rise in full-year profits of 20.7%.
Stephen Marks, chairman and chief executive of the company, said response to its advertising campaign through TBWA\London had been 鈥渦nprecedented鈥, particularly in terms of global brand recognition. Other factors for its success were strong UK growth and innovative product development.
Pre-tax profits for the year ending January 2001 rose to £19.1m, up from £15.8m, and retail sales rose 22.4% to £94.3m.
The company has proposed a dividend of 4.75p, making the total dividend 6.50p, up 18%.
