Brand Events’ debut show, the Real Food Festival, held at Earls Court from 24-27 April, attracted an impressive 20,000 visitors. Designed in the style of a farmers’ market, exhibitors included more than 500 of the world’s best food producers, who showcased foodstuffs such as welfare-friendly veal and hand-made cheeses. Further experiential entertainment included a sheep show and cookery school. Real Food Festival show director Philip Lowery said: “The feedback from everyone who came to the festival has been amazing, this really was a unique and rewarding experience for all. The event comes at a time when people, and not just the so-called ‘foodies’, are beginning to have questions about the food they eat.”
